Since 1949, Franciscan Children’s has served children and adolescents with complex medical, mental health and special education needs. We are the only pediatric post-acute provider in New England, and many times, we tackle the challenges that others can’t or won’t. It is our privilege to care for children who need our help and their spirit motivates and inspires us every day. Since 2023, we are a proud affiliate of Boston Children’s Hospital.

Since 1963, Kennedy Day School has earned a reputation for excellence in special education. Located on-site at Franciscan Children’s, in the Brighton neighborhood of Boston, our facility is fully accessible and includes an adaptive playground and athletic field. Our spacious state-of-the-art school building reflects thoughtful, student-centered design with specialized equipment, resources, and technologies to help each child reach their full potential.
