Colleen Gorman

Colleen is a dedicated educator with more than 20 years of experience supporting learners of all ages. She is skilled in adapting instruction to meet each child’s unique learning style and believes deeply in building strong academic foundations that empower students to grow into confident, lifelong learners.

Her career spans a wide range of roles in public school settings, including teaching assistant, classroom teacher, and assistive technology specialist. She has also taught at the Carroll Center for the Blind, where she gained extensive experience supporting students with visual impairments.

Colleen now teaches students on the Medical Unit and serves as the reading specialist for KDS, where she brings compassion, expertise, and individualized instruction to every learner she works with. In 2024, she earned her Wilson Reading Certification, further strengthening her commitment to evidence‑based literacy instruction.
