Dr. Dwyer is a board-certified pediatric critical care physician with extensive experience caring for children with complex medical needs. She earned her medical degree from University of Massachusetts Medical School and completed residency and fellowship training at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Dwyer is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.
Throughout her career, Dr. Dwyer has focused on optimizing care for medically complex children across the full continuum of hospitalization. She has particular expertise in hospital throughput, systems improvement, and multidisciplinary care coordination, with a focus on safely transitioning patients from tertiary care settings to post-acute care and ultimately to home or other appropriate long-term dispositions. She is committed to delivering high-quality, patient- and family-centered care while building efficient, collaborative systems that support timely progression through each phase of care.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Dwyer has held multiple leadership roles at Boston Children's Hospital, including Medical Director of the Medical ICU and the Global Services Program. She now serves as Medical Director of the inpatient units at Franciscan Children's, providing strategic and clinical leadership in the post-acute care setting.
