Emily Strainchamps

Emily Strainchamps specializes in providing clinical treatment of trauma/PTSD, depression, suicidality, and borderline personality disorder. She trained in Relational Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy at The Center for Women's Development, where she provided group therapy to adult survivors of childhood abuse. At Franciscan Children's she is one of the supervisors in the clinical training program for psychology practicum trainees. She has a particular interest in working with families and adolescents — providing DBT-informed therapy and parent training, and helping families in crisis navigate the mental health system.
