Professional History

Dr. Karl is the Senior Director of Behavioral Health Services. Dr. Karl is a licensed clinical psychologist with a specialty in pediatric neuropsychology. Dr. Karl completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Rochester and earned her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the University of Hartford. She completed her doctoral internship at Dartmouth Medical School and completed her two-year postdoctoral training in pediatric neuropsychology at Boston Medical Center and Boston Neuropsychological Services. Over the course of her career Dr. Karl has worked in a variety of clinical and hospital settings and also served as the Director of Training for several years. 

Dr. Karl is a member of APA (Division 40) and National Academy of Neuropsychology (NAN). She is also an active member the Massachusetts Neuropsychological Society (MNS), where she served six years on the executive board. Dr. Karl provides individual and group supervision to the APA interns and participates in didactic trainings. Her areas of specialty include the assessment and differential diagnoses of children, adolescents, and young adults with acute and chronic complex medical conditions, neurological impairments, neurodevelopmental disabilities, and psychiatric disorders.
