Professional History

Kristan Bagley-Jones is the Senior Director of Community Programs, where she leads efforts to expand access to mental health services for youth and families. Through the Children’s Wellness Initiative (CWI), she oversees outpatient mental health services for 19 schools in the Boston area, ensuring that students receive the support they need.

Previously, Ms. Bagley-Jones served as the director of a school-based counseling program for North River Education Collaborative and spent over a decade as a clinical social worker in the Boston Public Schools. She also dedicated more than ten years as an Adjunct Professor in the Graduate School of Social Work at Boston College, where she taught Play Therapy and School Social Work courses.

Her areas of expertise include school-based mental health services, play therapy, crisis intervention, and suicide prevention. She is also a trusted clinical consultant, guiding educators in supporting children with emotional and behavioral challenges in the classroom.

I believe that access to quality mental-health care is of paramount importance. Passionate about reducing the stigma surrounding mental health, I continue to advocate for accessible, high-quality care for underserved communities. Through my leadership, I strive to create inclusive, supportive environments where youth and families feel empowered to seek help without fear of judgment. Her dedication to mental health advocacy continues to drive her efforts in expanding resources, fostering awareness, and building strong community about reducing the stigma surrounding mental health.
