The Complex Medical Rehabilitation program transitions children with chronic complications from severe illnesses or injuries from acute care inpatient units and ICUs to our post-acute care setting, where our multi-disciplinary team develops an individualized plan to promote clinical stability and safe discharge to the community.

Our Patients

We treat children and adolescents who require:

  • Prolonged recovery from major surgery
  • Extended hospital level care after a critical illnesses
  • Specialized wound-care
  • Prolonged antibiotic treatment
  • Medication weaning
  • Therapy services to rebuild strength, function and mobility

  • Improve strength and function
  • Provide comprehensive family teaching
  • Ensure safe transition home
